Meet the Class of 2022
Each year the graduating class of music theatre majors participate in a three-day industry intensive event in New York City, which includes a showcase performance for major agents and casting directors from Broadway, television and film, and an opportunity to meet and network with the incredible ASU alumni working in the theatre industry. This integral educational opportunity is viewed as an essential component of their training.

Ellie Barrett is a passionate triple threat who dabbles in musical theatre and opera. She will be graduating with her Bachelor’s in Musical Theatre Performance and a Minor in Dance. She has worked at various venues including San Diego Musical Theatre, The Welk Resort Theatre, San Diego Opera, Moonlight Stage Productions, The Phoenix Theatre Company, Hale Centre Theatre and danced with The Radio City Rockettes in their Rockette Summer Intensive. She has also gotten the chance to perform in concert with Patti LuPone and John Legend. Special thanks to her family, friends, and mentors for their love and support. All glory to God!
Wesley Bradstreet is an energetic and thoughtful creative who takes great pride in telling compelling stories that spread joy and light. His definition of success as a performer is the ability to bring a smile to someone else’s face. Some of his favorite roles include Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast, Hunter in [title of show], and Leaf Coneybear in The 25th Annual… Spelling Bee. Wesley will graduate with a Bachelor of Music in both Music Theatre Performance and Music Learning and Teaching. When he’s not onstage making people smile, Wesley likes to dedicate his time to creative projects, solving sudoku puzzles, and going hiking.
Chris Elliott is a passionate, enthusiastic, and animated creative who strives to create space for people to feel stimulated, moved, and changed through the usage of music, emotion, and personal storytelling. Originally from New Jersey, he received his B.A. in Sociology and Music with a concentration in Health and Medicine from Goucher College, and his M.M. in Musical Theatre from ASU. Some of his favorite roles include Judas from Godspell, Sparky in Forever Plaid, and Riff Raff in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. In his downtime, Chris enjoys watching anime, reading, and boogying in his room.
Frenki Hykollari (she/her): An explosive firecracker packed into a small body. That is the way Frenki can be best described. Frenki is an Albanian-born actress, who was raised in the Balkans for most of her life. Back home, she took the stage at the age of eight, performing in festivals and even participating in The Voice Kids Albania. At the age of fifteen, her big move to the U.S introduced her to Musical Theatre. She got her start as a munchkin in The Wizard of Oz, and she has been chasing that high ever since. Since then, Frenki has performed in many roles across the valley, including Alice Murphy in Bright Star, Donkey in Shrek the Musical, Sophie in Mamma Mia, etc. Nowadays, Frenki can be found acting across Arizona, taking prolonged naps with her dog Daphne, and making DIY earrings out of any mildly interesting items.
Lorin Mae Phillips is an actor and mezzo-soprano who is dedicated, sincere, and open to new opportunities. Her theatre and opera credits include: A Little Night Music (Petra), Ragtime (Emma Goldman), Shrek the Musical (Fiona), Legally Blonde (Paulette), Hansel and Gretel (Hansel), and The Ballad of Baby Doe (Mama McCourt). She received her B.A. in Music from Stanford University and her M.M. in Voice (Music Theatre and Opera) from Arizona State University. As a hardworking young woman from the Midwest, Lorin loves digging deep into complex characters and unique narratives. She is grateful for the loving support from her instructors, friends, and family.
Known for giving genuine and powerful performances, James William Taylor has an undying love for storytelling and human connection. Having grown up with a passion for everything music, James prides himself with his ability to adapt to most contemporary musical styles including country, jazz, and rock. Having proven his dynamic range of genres through characters such as Jaime in The Last 5 Years, Jervis(u/s) in Daddy Long Legs, Fredrick in Young Frankenstein, and Nicely Nicely in Guys & Dolls, James is dedicated to the craft of acting, and is excited at the prospect of always learning.
Jonice Bernard (they/them) is a well rounded artist who is committed to bringing honesty, warmth, passion and joy into every room they’re in. They find purpose in crafting meaningful, impactful, collaborative stories, both on and off stage. Some of their favorite roles include Nettie/ Celie Understudy in The Color Purple, Olive in 25th Annual…Spelling Bee, and Miriam in Fly By Night.They have also discovered a love for directing/producing, working on The Color Cabaret 21/22, and The Last Five Years. Songwriting, sunbathing, and painting (very poorly) fill their days when they’re not on stage.
Hannah Brudnock is a passionate, thoughtful, and ambitious actress, singer, and performer! She was born and raised in Tempe, Arizona to a rambunctious yet loving family that is equally as passionate about theater as they are tv/film! She has been especially grateful to play Margo in Bright Star, By My Side Disciple in Godspell, Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods, and Narrator in Fly By Night. Hannah believes in a strong work ethic when it comes to her craft and the willingness to let go and take risks to break out of her comfort zone!
Lina G. Forero is a giddy, driven, fun actress from San Antonio, Texas who by a stroke of fate, wound up in Arizona. She is very excited to receive her Bachelor of Music in Music Theatre Performance from Arizona State University. She has a love for birds, dogs, and giggling. Some of her favorite roles are Schwarzy in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Alice Russell in Lizzie the Musical, and Eponine in Les Miserables. She loves making people laugh and showing the complexities of the human experience in all the characters she portrays.
Teddy Ladley hails from Tempe, Arizona. This baseball player turned actor-singer believes that to share a moment of joy and laughter with another human being is one of the greatest things we can do. Recent roles include Joseph Riser (The Hello Girls), Sid Sorokin (The Pajama Game), The Cowardly Lion (The Wizard of Oz), Barfée (25th Annual…Spelling Bee), and Miles Gloriosus (A Funny Thing… Forum). He was 1st place in the 2021 NATS Arizona & Cal-Western Regionals, and will graduate summa cum laude with an Honors BM in Music Theater Performance from ASU. Besides memorizing, you can catch him hiking, working out, playing video-games, reading comics, and playing catch!
Karley Purnell (she/her) is a talented and ambitious singer/ actress native to the city of Philadelphia. She has recently graduated from Arizona State University with a BA in Theater: Acting and a minor in musical theater. She is passionate about collaborating on and creating new and original work that highlights underrepresented voices and inspires audiences. Some of her favorite roles include Natalie goodfriday, Joy Southside Summer, and Tomeka Allegiance. In her spare time she enjoys being a plant mom, baking, and yoga.
Kevin is grateful to graduate this spring with a M.M. in Music Direction from ASU. At ASU, Kevin served as MD for 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Last Five Years, and It’s Only Life. As well, Kevin served as Music Director for the Phoenix Theatre Company’s productions of The Hello Girls, Murder for Two, The Color Purple, and Always… Patsy Cline. Others favorites as MD: Matilda, Legally Blonde, James… Giant Peach, Mamma Mia, Rent, 25th Annual… Spelling Bee, The Producers, Oklahoma!, The Spitfire Grill, and Ruthless!. Thanks to Brian and the ASU team, Love to Dallyn and Ruthie.
Praised for her versatility, South Georgia native Yophi Adia Bost is a passionate educator and sincere performer of several genres. A daughter of an actress, she has performed professionally since age 4. She received her BM in Choral Music Education with a MT minor from UNC Greensboro, and her MM in Musical Theatre/Opera from Arizona State University. Cross-trained in opera, she was recently awarded at the district level of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition. Her favorite recent productions include Caroline or Change (Moon) and Bright Star (Mama Murphy). She strives to spread love, light and laughter on and offstage.
Hannah Eichholtz is a spunky red-head from sunny South Florida. She takes great pride in being a captivating actress, Disney World enthusiast, and choreographer. She has recently received a B.M. in Musical Theater and Lyric Opera from Arizona State University under the vocal direction of Carole FitzPatrick. During her time at ASU, she performed in several productions, including Bright Star, Hansel and Gretel, and Street Scene. This summer will be her second year choreographing for The Performance Project in Fort Lauderdale. Hannah has a passion for educating youth and brings the value of family and ensemble wherever she goes.
Annie Heartney (she/her) is an eclectic and delightfully weird singer, actress, and aspiring woman of mystery, originally from St. Louis, Missouri. She is receiving her B.M. in music theatre performance from ASU. Her favorite credits include The Last Five Years (Cathy), Lizzie (Bridget), Little Women (Meg March) and Spring Awakening (Anna). A crossover artist and stylistic “chameleon”, Annie navigates through an abundance of diverse musical genres. A lover of art and hater of limits and labels, she is a coloratura soprano, a 70’s rocker chick, a quirky comic, a vulnerable young woman and so much more. Annie approaches any uncharted creative territory with boundless excitement for the possibilities before her.
Joshua Miranda (He/Him) is a diverse performer who believes that people are his passion. Born and raised on the island of Guam, he moved to the mainland U.S. in 2016 and fell in love with entertaining others through various outlets. These include international performances with a Guam-based acapella group, hip hop dance residencies through ASU, and several musicals. His best aspects are his curiosity, flexibility, and willingness to learn anything. Josh currently works as a Promotions Manager for several venues in the Phoenix area. He would like to say Si Yu’us Ma’ase (Thank you) to everyone involved in the opportunity to perform in NYC.
Anna Sera is a Cuban-American actor and writer. Theatre credits include: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer the Musical (Clarice), Big Fish (Sandra Bloom), and The Addams Family (Wednesday Addams). TV/Film credits include: Supermarket Stakeout (Food Network), The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade (NBC), and Bite the Ground (Amazon). She received a B.M. in Music Theatre with a Minor in Dance from Barrett the Honors College at Arizona State University. Anna is trilingual, speaking English, Spanish, and Russian. She has written three plays and intends to expand into musical writing. Anna is grateful to her family and mentors for their support along this path.
