ASU Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts is seeking applicants for a 12-month full-time staff Technical Director Sr., Music Theatre and Opera to serve in the area of Musical Theatre and Opera in the School of Music, Dance and Theatre. The Technical Director Sr., Music Theatre and Opera will work with the music theatre and opera faculty and staff to coordinate, build and ensure readiness of all scenic elements for all musical theatre and opera productions and collaborations. The Technical Director Sr., Music Theatre and Opera will construct scenery, manage props, oversee inventories, maintain facilities and equipment, and purchase specific materials needed for production. The candidate chosen will assist with overseeing the work of students in scenic, property construction, paint, lighting, sound, media and stage management, and teach production classes.
