A range of minors and certificates
The ASU School of Music, Dance and Theatre offers a range of minors and certificates. Minors are ideal for undergraduate students who wish to pursue music, dance and theatre studies and activities but do not want to complete a major in those fields. Certificates are available for both undergraduate and graduate level students looking for specialized study.
A minor provides current undergraduate students the option to learn similar skills as they complete their major. A minor is an approved, coherent concentration of academic study in a single discipline, involving substantially fewer hours of credit than a corresponding major. Most ASU colleges offer undergraduate minors in addition to majors.
Students may pursue some certificate programs along with a major and other certificate programs independently. The certificate is a programmatic or linked series of courses in a single field or one that crosses disciplinary boundaries
