A degree in Voice

The first step in your journey to a professional career

The voice program in the ASU School of Music, Dance and Theatre provides a personal setting within a large university atmosphere by providing weekly one-on-one mentorship. For a voice student at ASU the demands are high, but the results are worth it. Being accepted to study voice in the School of Music, Dance and Theatre is only the first step in the journey that prepares you for a professional career.

Recognizing the needs of an ever-expanding musical world, our exceptional voice faculty brings a wealth of experience from diverse perspectives. They provide outstanding training in vocal technique, musicianship, application of languages and diction, and interpretation of vocal music of all periods and genres.

The program features formal collaborations and professional training opportunities with Arizona Opera and The Phoenix Theatre Company.
