Music Production Fundamentals

Introduces the basic tools and techniques of the 'in the box' music production. Students begin to hone their production chops and create their own original and collaborative work in the process. Course is broken down into 4 modules: writing in the DAW, producing in the DAW, collaborating in the DAW and working in the DAW. Students experience a series of lectures to cover weekly topic(s); participate in in-class exercises and demos; and write, arrange and produce original material to be workshopped in class, both individually and collaboratively.
