The ASU Percussion Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Michael Compitello, is one of the most unique student ensembles at the university. Inspired by Max Roach’s ensemble M’Boom, the group performs both traditional and contemporary styles, including Latin, funk, bebop and fusion. No jazz experience is required.
